Todd Berko, as head of Bel Air’s financial analysis group, has been involved in every transaction completed by Bel Air and has advised dealers on many significant dealership sale transactions and valuation assignments.  These include assignments that have resulted in sales of dealerships to AutoNation, United Auto Group, Asbury Automotive Group, Group 1 Automotive and many private dealership groups. He has also valued many of the largest and most respected dealership groups in the country.

Before joining Bel Air in 1999 and becoming a partner in 2001, Mr. Berko was a senior analyst for major securities firms on Wall Street,  With over 14 years experience, he completed in-depth analysis on well over 100 companies across a broad range of industries.  During that time, he raised capital for over 20 companies, including more than 15 initial public offerings.  He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert and later joined Paine Webber, Inc., now UBS. Prior to that, he was the assistant to the president of a major US retailer.

While on Wall Street, Mr. Berko studied strategies to consolidate several industries.  This along with his recent concentration on automotive retailing gives him unique insights into the dynamics facing automotive retailers and consolidators.  Mr. Berko has been a guest on CNN and has been quoted in Automotive News, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, The New York Times and Forbes Magazine.

Mr. Berko earned a BA in economics and political science from George Washington University and holds an MBA with honors from Columbia University.
